Looks like a wet period during Saturday afternoon and night.

Jerry Tracey

It Friday football playoff time, and the weather this evening will be just fine with mostly clear skies and temperatures falling from the 50’s into the middle and upper 40’s.  Meanwhile a low pressure area is getting organized in the western Gulf of Mexico, and will become the main player here starting tomorrow.  Clouds will start increasing ahead of the low late tonight and early tomorrow morning. Rain could begin in places like Greene and Hale counties as early as 10 am, and then will spread northeastward.  For the Tide tomorrow in Tuscaloosa, the game may begin with just cloudy skies, but I would certainly bring the rain gear, because at some point it is going to start to rain.  Much of Saturday afternoon and night will be wet across central Alabama.
On Sunday, the low pressure area weakens and pulls away to the northeast.  But a low of low-level moisture will remain, and that will mean lingering clouds and perhaps a few showers or some drizzle.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday look brighter and a little warmer.  A cold front will arrive Wednesday, and that could mean a passing shower.  It will mean cooler air for Thanksgiving day with highs in the 50’s.  That is a good thing given the warm air that will be developing in area kitchens that day.
